Wilderness on Wheels has been providing access to nature for people of all abilities, their family and caregivers for over 30 years. Our 1-mile boardwalk rises to 9,000 ft. and allows everyone – young and old, disabled and abled, individuals and groups – to roll and stroll through the beautiful Colorado mountains.
Spend a day with friends and family fishing and grilling and then stay the night in a cabin or campsite. Join us on August 5th for our Free Family Fun Day from 10am to 2pm. There will be caricature artists, music, food and games – all accessible and all free for our families.
WOW is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with no paid staff. We are entirely supported by donations and volunteers. To date, over 116,000 hours have been invested in the project by some 3,500 volunteers!
