Able Outdoors provides the following list of outfitters that have experience working with hunters with disabilities.  Below you will find listings for outfitters in the United States, Canada, Africa, New Zealand, and South America.

When looking for an outfitter to work with, it is important to ask questions and request references to determine if they are able to meet your individual needs.  Able Outdoors does not endorse any one outfitter because there are many to choose from.  If there is an outfitter that you know of that is not listed below, please let us know by sending us a message on our CONTACT page.


United States

Trophy Ridge Outfitters – New Mexico – Elk, Mule Deer & Antelope – New Mexico is one of the few states that offers special “mobility-impaired” seasons and Audrey & Roger have many years of experience hosting disabled hunters in the famed Gila National Forest. Deadlines for the public draw are in April every year so call early because you will need to get a Mobility-Impaired card from the NMG&F department in order to apply.

All American Outfitters – New Mexico – Elk, Mule Deer & Antelope – Based in Reserve, NM, Brandon has also been guiding challenged hunters for several years and has an accessible cabin on-site to accommodate them.

Howell Wildlife Outfitters – Arizona – Elk, Deer, Antelope, Sheep, Mountain Lion & Turkey – Goose has been guiding for 25 years and recently got involved with the “Hunt of a Lifetime” organization for people with disabilities and terminal illnesses. He is committed to accommodating anyone regardless of physical limitations.

Billingsley Ranch Outfitters – Montana – Deer, Elk, Antelope – Billingsley is a working cattle ranch that doubles as a hunting operation in the Fall of every year. They have experience with disabled hunters and will help design a hunt according to your abilities.

Buckshot Duck Lodge – Arkansas – Duck – A duck hunting guide service located in one of the premier places to waterfowl hunt in the world. They have an accessible lodge and many repeat customers so you should call early to set up a hunt. Flooded timber hunts are available.

High Adventure Ranch – Missouri – Deer, Elk, Buffalo, Wild Boar, Exotics – This is one of those high-fenced places that offers several different types of hunts and has accessible accommodations at their lodge. Hunts are offered year-around and there are reasonable hunts available.

Licking River Outfitters – Kentucky – Turkey, Deer, Elk –  Outstanding hunting opportunities located at the junction of Harrison, Robertson, Bracken, and Pendleton Counties on the beautiful Licking River. All of their full and semi guided hunts are donated to Wounded Servicemen and Women, Youth, Physically Challenged, and Disabled Veterans. Hunts for the terminally ill are done as a priority and are always accepted. Accommodations include wheelchair accessible bathrooms and showers, home cooked meals, & comfortable sleeping arrangements. Travel to and from the hunting sites are provided as well as hunting blinds for the physically challenged.

Routier Outfitting – South Dakota – Deer, Turkey, Antelope & Buffalo – Randy Routier is one of the few quadriplegic outfitters in the world so he is well-versed on hosting disabled clients. He has accessible lodging and will plan your hunt according to your wants and needs.



Skinner Creek Hunts – British Columbia – Black Bear, Cougar, Lynx, etc. – Doug McMann has modified a cabin to be wheelchair accessible and offers tailor-made hunts for anyone who is disabled and wants to come hunt in some of the most scenic areas of Canada. He can arrange for an Action Trackchair to stalk bear.

Ray’s Hunting & Fishing – New Foundland – Black Bear, Moose, Caribou – Ray’s will work to accommodate disabled hunters so make sure you call to find out as much as you can about the operation and let them know specifically what you will need. There is a two bear limit in this area which is better because if you go on a trip like this you might as well take two!

Bear Paw Outfitters – New Brunswick – Black Bear – Mike Roy has been guiding disabled hunters for over two decades and is one of the most well-known bear guides in his area. He started by hosting challenged sportsmen from Buckmasters’ BADF. Call and ask about accommodations.

Wild North Outfitters – Ontario – Black Bear – Wild North has recently made some of their cabins accessible and begun hosting disabled clients. They are located in one of the densely populated areas for bear in the province and only take a limited number of hunters each year so call early.



Oelofse Safaris – Namibia – Plains game & Dangerous game – The Oelofse’s are one of the most knowledgeable and accessible outfitters in Africa. Every year, they host one of Safari Club’s Pathfinder award winners and have hunted many clients who were in power chairs. Whatever you need they will take care of it. Truly one of the special places on earth to encounter. You can meet them at one of the several SCI conventions every year in the states.

Numzaan Safaris – South Africa – Plains game & Dangerous game – Another safari outfitter with close ties to SCI’s Pathfinder award. Numzaan is a family run operation that has experience hosting chairbound clients and recently committed to hosting a Pathfinder winner every year. They also attend the SCI conventions during the off season.

East Cape Plains Game Safaris – South Africa – Plains game – Another safari operation in Africa that caters to disabled hunters and has experience in this area. They have accessible lodging of course and will plan the hunt according to your wants & needs.

Ultimate Lodge – Zimbabwe – Plains game & Dangerous game – Russ Caldecott was the first paraplegic to start a full-service safari operation in Africa and built it on the premise of accessibility for disabled clients. Located near one of the wonders of the world, Victoria Falls, Ultimate Lodge is the premier guide service for hunting dangerous game in Africa.


New Zealand

Track & Trail Safaris – New Zealand – Red Stag, Fallow Deer, Thar & Chamois – Chris & Peg have been hosting chairbound clients for many years and can take care of all your accommodations. On a trip this big, you want to make sure you can trust your outfitter on the other end and this one will deliver.  South America

Caza Pampa – Argentina – Red Stag, Fallow Deer, Axis, Sheep, Goats, Antelope, Cats, Boar, Bird Hunting, Etc. – Located in the Patagonia region of Argentina, the Caza Pampa Lodge is wheelchair accessible and offers many different types of hunting to disabled hunters, including elevated blinds. Guides have experience with chairbound hunters and there are several difference species to hunt. Beautiful country and Argentina is a very hunter-friendly place to go.
